The Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct team has sought the imagination of local primary school students to find a name for the 40-metre tower crane that will help build our new multi-storey car park!
More than 100 students entered the competition, making it a tough decision for our judges.
Congratulations to Charlotte (aged 10) from West Hoxton who cleverly chose the winning name of CELSUS – a Latin word meaning tall or lofty. Celsus was also the name of one of the greatest Ancient Roman medical writers. Charlotte was awarded with an iPad for her efforts, along with a replica of the name flag which is flown a splendid 40-metres high at the end of each work day.
