Sod turn marks latest redevelopment milestone

NSW Minister for Health Brad Hazzard joined Member for Holsworthy Melanie Gibbons at Liverpool Hospital in early December to mark the start of construction on the hospital’s new $50 million multi-storey car park. ADCO Constructions Pty Ltd has been awarded the contract for the seven-storey car park, which will provide an additional 500 parking spaces for the campus.

Final design approvals underway

A critical part of the hospital redevelopment is the input of staff and other stakeholders in the planning of new spaces, and a key milestone for each of our Project User Groups (PUGs) is the final sign-off of detailed designs that will inform the build. Our library team was the first of dozens of PUGs to reach this important stage in the planning process.

The hospital’s Diagnostic Radiology team recently welcomed the addition of two new mobile x-ray machines, greatly supporting the recent increase in presentations as a result of the pandemic. The machines were part of a larger order, set to be delivered on completion of the redevelopment project, but were brought forward in response to current need.
