Crane name announcement

Congratulations to Bella Bui from Green Valley Public School who cleverly chose the winning name BINYANG – a traditional Dharug name meaning ‘Bird’ recognising the towering height of the crane and the abundance of bird species found across the region. 
 


A Crane Naming Ceremony was held to announce the winning name. Bella’s school received a $500 voucher to purchase educational resources such as library books or sports equipment and Bella also received a $100 Visa gift card.

Thank you to all the creative students who entered our Name the Crane competition. We received more than 100 suggestions, making it a challenging decision for our judges!

Congratulations also to our competition finalists, who each received $50 VISA gift card.
