With the first brand new space of main works almost complete, final checks are underway to ensure the future Brennan Unit (Forensics) is fit for purpose. Our project team recently joined members of the Forensics team to create a simulated set up in their new procedure room. The exercise was part of an extensive commissioning program and gave the team the chance to review the positioning of ceiling examination lights and to familiarise themselves in the new space. Commissioning refers to all preparation works, including testing and training, that are required to ensure new spaces/ buildings and the staff that will work within them are ready to receive the first patients. Congratulations to the Brennan Unit and commissioning team for their preparation efforts to date. We’re nearly there!
