first concrete pour a solid start

An exciting project milestone has been reached with the first slab pour of the new $50 million multi-storey car park.

The initial pour was the first of five that will create the 3450 square metre ground floor slab, and one of more than 30 slab pours scheduled this year to build the seven-storey structure.

Liverpool Hospital General Manager Karen McMenamin said the first slab pour followed the arrival of the site’s first tower crane last month and was an exciting milestone in delivery of the new multi-storey car park.

“I’m thrilled that staff and patients at Liverpool Hospital will soon see the multi-storey car park rising from the ground,’’ Ms McMenamin said. “On completion of the car park in early 2022, an additional 500 parking spaces will be available across the hospital campus, helping to improve accessibility to health services for patients and their families.”
