Bright future for girls in construction

Our project team proudly launched its first STEM program at Buraga Gul Skilling and Employment Hub with 22 Year 9 students from Liverpool Girls High School last month.

Developed by our project management team JohnStaff Projects, the STEM program will raise awareness about the broad range of career paths in property and construction and encourage greater female participation in the industry.

Students heard from experienced industry leaders about the varied career paths including Architects, Engineers, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Town Planners, and the challenges and opportunities that a career in the industry may present.

The girls received a great insight into mega infrastructure projects and what they involve from learning about the design process, how costs are managed on a building project, and hearing about what it’s like for women in the STEM industry.

We know that the future is very bright for the next generation of women in STEM!
