STEM Program inspires the next generation

Building on the successful launch in April, our project management partner Johnstaff recently held a second STEM program, as part of the redevelopment at Liverpool Hospital.

A group of enthusiastic Year 9 students from Liverpool Girls High School had the opportunity to listen to our experienced and engaging leaders talk about their careers in STEM and the construction industry.

The students were also thrilled to see the sight of a bustling construction site as they were taken on a tour by project builder Lendlease.

Johnstaff was joined by guest speakers from Health Infrastructure, Lendlease, Taylor Thomas Whitting, and Stantec who enlightened the students about sustainability and engineering.

hey shared valuable insights on various career paths and their diverse roles such as designing crash test dummies, understanding the behaviour of fire truck engines in fire situations, and creating slash-proof armour.

The session gave the students a glimpse into the exciting world of engineering, and they are eagerly looking forward to returning in three months for session three!
