ARTS AND CULTURE

Arts and culture is an important part of Liverpool Hospital. It is our belief that arts and creativity move minds, bodies and spirits towards sustaining healthy lives.
The arts will play an important role in the development of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP).

Arts in Health: Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct
Our beautiful artworks have created a warm welcome to our hospital as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct redevelopment.

We worked closely with our First Nations and multicultural community groups to create a welcoming, healing, and culturally safe environment for our patients, staff, and the broader community.

Thank you to everyone involved in this amazing creative project.

An arts and culture strategy is being developed as part of the project, with the input of our hospital community. Thank you ot those who participated in our online survey in August 2020 to help shape the strategy, which will aim to create a hospital environment that aids recovery and provides welcoming, safe and connected spaces for all who visit. We look forward to sharing and implementing the resulting arts and culture program.

The South Western Sydney Health and Arts Strategic Plan 2018-23 was developed by the South Western Sydney Local Health District, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre and Liverpool City Council and forms the basis of the project-specific strategy.
